Games 2025: These gaming highlights are coming soon
The gaming year 2025 has already had plenty to offer, from “Monster Hunter Worlds” and “Doom: The Dark Ages” to the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 with “Mario Kart World”. But that’s far from all – the second half of 2025 still has some real highlights in store for you!
With video games it’s like with mugs: you can never have enough of them. In 2025 this is truer than ever, as one great game after another has been released since January. Not only that: in June the Nintendo Switch 2 launched, together with the first new “Mario Kart” title in more than ten years. Looking at the release list for the second half of the year, one thing is clear: your wallet won’t be getting a break. Here are the games of 2025 we’re especially looking forward to – from RPGs to first-person shooters!

Games 2026: Titles coming next year
- Resident Evil 9: Requiem (27.2.2026)
- GTA VI (26.5.2026)
- 007 First Light (2026)
- Game Of Thrones: War For Westeros (2026)
In the ninth instalment of the “Resident Evil” series you’ll step into the role of FBI agent Grace Ashcroft for the first time and investigate a series of mysterious deaths in a hotel.
Get your sunglasses ready, because “GTA VI” is taking you back to Vice City (aka Miami). The game will also satirise social media and influencer culture.
If you’ve always wanted to know more about James Bond’s backstory, “007 First Light” is for you – the game tells the story of Bond’s recruitment into the British secret service MI6.
In the strategy game “Game Of Thrones: War For Westeros” you’ll choose one of the great houses and fight, as the title suggests, for control of Westeros.
